Earth Day Celebration at Panhe 2009

The Earth Day Celebration at Panhe will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. The indigenous Village of Panhe was the historical home of the Juaneno / Acjachemen people and continues to be used as a ceremonial and reburial site. Event features will include: Native American Singers, Dancers, Speakers, Storytelling, Basketry Demonstration, Native Plant Demonstration, Native Foods, Guided Walks and Children's Games.

Panhe is located within San Mateo Campground at the San Onofre State Beach Park. Exit the I-5 at Cristianitos and head East (toward Camp Pendleton) for 1 mile. San Mateo Campground is on the right, and access to Panhe is within the State Park. Parking is limited and Day Use Fees apply. Please carpool, park at the Trestles parking lot or along Cristianitos Road.
