I was originally born in Laguna Beach, currently residing in Capistrano Beach with my wife Kristen and our pup Kona a Pug/Beagle mix. I knew from a young age that I was drawn to the ocean and our amazing coastline. I can recall my first visit to T-Street when my mother dropped me off for my first surf. The crisp ocean air, continuous barreling waves rolling to shore and the deep blue and turquoise water against the sand will always be something I remember.
My obsession for photography started in 2008 when I had picked up my first camera and began shooting for a local off-road race team. Since that time my photography has become a large part of my life. I enjoy shooting images from San Clemente to Northern California as much as possible. As a self-taught photographer, I feel thankful to have my work showcased in local stores as Reclamation on Del Mar and being selected as a showing artist during the 2013 “Coastal Presence” exhibit presented in the Historic Cottage located at San Clemente State Beach. While not at work I enjoy refining my photography skills being outdoors walking, camping, riding bikes and surfing along the beaches of San Clemente.
I had originally become involved with the San Onofre Parks Foundation during a collaboration effort with Barry Berg in 2012. Together Barry and I had filmed, edited and produced a documentary about the Native American Gathering at Panhe located in San Mateo Campground. The project was a short film bringing awareness to the 9,000 year old historic village of the Acjachemen/Juaneno people. Since joining SOPF I use my photography as a way to document and share the many great events that SOPF hosts and is a part of each year.
